Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch dissolve in
  • 3 tbsp. water
(Conversions For Cooking)

Cooking Procedures :

  1. In a small saucepan, mix all 6 ingredients except the cornstarch.  Heat over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Lower the heat and then add dissolved cornstarch.  Stir vigorously until thickened.  Simmer for a minute.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to a sauce dish and serve.
