Pork Asado

Ingredients :

  • 1 lb. pork
  • 5 small shallots, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. five-spice powder
  • 5 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. rice wine
(Kitchen Conversion)

Cooking Procedures :

  1. Season pork with the remaining ingredients and let it stand overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F.  Bake pork for 30 minutes.
  3. Turn over pork to other side after 15 minutes and then continue baking until cooked.
  4. Makes 4-6 servings.
